gardeners and potting soil suppliers around the world. Our goal is to be recognized
for going that extra mile for our customer base and being the best at what we do.

Significant improvements to our production facility over time have allowed us to
deliver a consistent supply of quality substrates all year round.

Our History

Founded in 2015, by Kithsiri Dissanayake, one of Sri Lanka’s pioneers in the coconut product manufacturing industry. He brings over 40 years of experience, spanning across the industry thus helping shape HydroCoir to what it is today.

Kithsiri established the Dissanayake Fiber Mill in Wariyapola, Sri Lanka.

Dissanayake Fiber Mill introduced one of Sri Lanka’s first Twisted Fiber machines to produce coir ropes for the grape farming market in the United States, alongside CT Twine Machines to produce 100% natural coir mattresses and mats for the Asia region.

Kithsiri branches out to the coconut oil manufacturing industry, setting up Dissanayake Oil Mills – specialising in the purest form of edible coconut oil for the local and international retail markets.

Kithsiri further expands into establishing Sri Lanka’s first modernised dessicated coconut manufacturing plant, producing dessicated coconut flakes and coconut chips.
